Confession is good for the soul, so grab the button and let it all out. You'll feel better when you're finished.
This week has been non-stop, and I don't feel like I've accomplished anything except for force-feeding my puppy antibiotics and getting packed my try trip to New Orleans. Fortunately, Roscoe seems to be feeling much better. He's not 100%, but I'd have a hard time leaving town if he was still as sick as he was Monday morning.
By the time this post goes live, I should be well on the road. In my opinion 800+ mile drives go more smoothly when you get on the road early. I am also a believer that if I have to drive through a rush hour, I'd rather do that at the end of my trip than the beginning. Fortunately, I don't expect any rush hour traffic tomorrow.
I may be sucker for homeless baby animals. We discovered the other day that I'm just not capable of ignoring a crying baby animal. Because of this, I rescued three baby squirrels on Tuesday.
Don't worry. I took them to a wildlife center; unlike puppies and kittens, I have no interest in learning to raise squirrels.
I swear I need to get myself to the post office. I have gifts from August that are still waiting to be mailed. With work only getting busier from here, I really need to get on it.
My sweet nephew is NOT this grown up already.
Yesterday, our conversation went like this:
Him: "You're my best friend."
Me: "Aww, you're my best friend."
Him: "And Unkin Davin [Uncle David aka my Mister] is my best friend, too."
Me: "No way; he's my best friend."
Him: "He's both our best friend."
I just love that child.
