If you were following me on Instagram and/or Facebook, then you know I extended my stay in New Orleans an extra day since the road conditions driving back to Columbia were too uncertain, and I didn't want to risk getting stranded on a country road with no one around.
I'm still down in Nola, but please keep the residents of my state in your prayers. Columbia is dealing with enormous floods and several small dams have been crested or washed away. The bridge pictured above is one I drive over everything day. As you can see from the bottom photo, the river has risen significantly. My husband reports that our home and nearby family are okay, but many residents are not so lucky. #ColumbiaSC #SouthCarolina #scflood #GervaisStreetbridge #scflood2015 #hurricanejoaquin
Our home and my office as well as our families' homes were undamaged, and thank the Lord everyone is safe. However, many parts of my city are damaged and underwater. Please pray for our residents, and if you can afford to give, please donate money or supplies to the relief efforts.
