Good morning, lovelies!

I hope that y'all have had a fabulous weekend so far. Welcome back for the Weekly Round-Up linky party, hosted by me and Miss Angie from My So-Called Chaos. We want this to be something that focuses on sharing our favorite reads throughout the week so that you can find fabulous, new blogs to read.

So, here are the rules:

1. Grab the button.
2. Write a little list of your favorite reads this week and why.
3. Link up below and go find some fabulous new ladies to be friends with.

That said, here were my favorite reads this week:

1. This post from i am author looks at the ins and outs of sharing and re-sharing posts on facebook.

2. I'm pretty sure that I've mentioned root beer cake before on the blog, but I'm having a hard time resisting this chocolate root beer loaf cake on Pamela's Heavenly Treats.

3. This blog post from Bicoastally about celebs who have had extreme plastic surgery was disturbingly fascinating.

4. When we get done travelling, we will be making this no-knead whole wheat bread shared by Living a Goddess Life.

Good morning, lovelies!

Confession is good for the soul, so grab the button and let it all out. You'll feel better when you're finished.

I confess...

First of all, I need to announce the winner for the Shabby Apple Gift card. I got a little too busy yesterday to get that posted. Grace Inman is the lucky winner! Congrats, Grace; I'll get your info so we can get your prize out to you.

I confess...

I spent a lot more time hunting bachelorette accessories yesterday than I probably should have. You know the the flashing sash, ring, pins, etc? Yeah, why didn't I know that Party City would have all of that in one place? My favorite, custom t-shirts from Zazzle:

I confess...

While shopping for stuff for the bride, I may have decided I needed new tops to go out in this weekend. It's hard to pass up 40% off everything sales. So there may be two new tops and a swim suit hanging out in my suit case right now.

I confess...

Packing for a three-day girls weekend shouldn't be as difficult as it was for me. Why is it so difficult to pick a few outfits and get them in a suitcase? I have no less than four pairs of shoes in the suitcase. But that's not really a surprise, is it?

I confess...

I really can't concentrate enough to write much more because it's Las Vegas weekend! Let's hope I don't lose too much money.
From our honeymoon in San Francisco. We had a six hour layover in the Las Vegas airport.

P.S. Shoe Lust Saturday and the Weekly Round-Up will still be live this weekend. Get those posts ready to link up.

Hello, friends!

I'm sorry to be running a little late with Wino Wednesday this week. It tends to get like that at the end of the month.

Welcome back for this week's Wino Wednesday, co-hosted with Danielle from Secrets of a Sweet Southern Girl. Let me cover the ground rules for the party:
  1. Grab the Wino Wednesday Button
  2. Write a post that is wine-related
  3. Link up and visit with the other partiers
Easy peezy. Now on to the wine. When I get super-busy at work this week, I need a little wine and a little humor.

Monday, March 25

Hi friends! It's been a long Monday filled with finishing up for tax information to take to the accountant. Thank goodness for free drinks from Starbucks and looking forward to a bachelorette weekend in just a few days.

Moving on to Musical Monday...

This cover of Snow Patrol's "Run" by Katharine McPhee popped up in my youtube feed today, and I love it. It looks like I'll be looking for the Smash soundtrack when it releases on May 1. This track is going to available as a bonus track on the Target edition of the album.

P.S. Have you entered my giveaway for a $50 gift card from Shabby Apple?

3. Link up below and go find some fabulous new ladies to be friends with.

That said, here were my favorite reads this week:

1. I've mentioned before that the Mister and I usually have pizza night on Fridays. We don't always make it at home, but this pizza dough recipe shared by Kaitlyn at Wifessionals looks so yummy. We'll have to make it one weekend soon.

2. Fellow Palmetto Blogger and friend Paulene from The Leen Machine really inspires me with her fitness journey and dedication. She recently shared her race schedule for 2013. Since she lives in the same city as me, it serves as a gentle reminder that there are plenty of opportunities for me to get out and be active.

3. I was absolutely blown away by the Houston Chronicle feature story A Human Tragedy, which shared on Claire's blog Bicoastally. The story is about 24 prison inmates in Texas who have been exonerated as technology has provided new opportunities to examine evidence.

4. Beth from Living a Goddess Life has been doing a blog series on saving money called Stretching Cents. She's offered some fantastic tips to help trim the budget, many of which I hadn't thought of. It always helps to keep a little more money in the bank, and she's pretty darn good at helping you think of how to do that.

5. Suki from The Owl Club recently showed off a baby tote that she made by creating her own vinyl-coated cloth. It's such a fun idea to create custom baby items and gifts, but could also be used to pet-proof items as well.

P.S. Did you see my Shabby giveaway yesterday? Linking up with the Weekly Round-Up gets you a bonus entry.

Good morning, lovelies!

Confession is good for the soul, so grab the button and let it all out. You'll feel better when you're finished.

I confess...

I beat myself up in jujitsu class this week. On Tuesday, we were working on a throw, and when I was being thrown, I kept kicking myself in the shin with my heel. I now have a really sore bruise on my left shin. And the actual workout has me so sore that I'm still walking funny....I told my sensei that I only don't hurt when I'm sleeping. He laughed and told me to learn to fall properly.

I confess...

I LOOVVE when the Mister makes guacamole. It's really a shame that we don't live in California where I could grow an avocado....bush? tree? Which does an avocado grown on? Either way, I'd really want one.

I confess...

That now that it's spring, we are having a cold snap, which just stinks. Especially since I have to go to a golf function this afternoon. (I don't golf, but there's a business networking dinner after the tournament.) I have a cute dress or two that I'd like to wear, but it's just not warm enough.

I confess...

I got to spend a little time with my favorite great nephew this week. This little man just melts my heart. He smiles and laughs at just about everything.

I confess...

One week until Vegas. So excited!

Through my blogging years, I've never made it a secret that I HEART Shabby Apple.

They have some wonderful dresses and accessories, and as summer is approaching, I really want to order one of their vintage inspired swimsuits.
In particular, I really like this Sailboat top and bottom from their Aquamaids collection. The shoes aren't bad, either.

I've also been lusting over the dresses and skirts in their new Ferris Wheel collection.

I'm sure with summer fast approaching, we'd all like to lose a few pounds or a couple inches, but I'm just going to say it. This isn't how I wan't to it:

I'm not really a calorie counter anyway, but I'm sure not going to start with my wine.

I wouldn't mind having one of these:
