Friday Confessions 2.8.13

Good morning, lovelies!

You know that confession is good for the soul, so grab the button and let it all out. You'll feel better afterward.

I confess...

I'm proud to announce that we have another new baby in the family. My step-sister and her husband welcomed the first grandson into my side of the family on Monday. I haven't been able to get up to Charlotte to see him yet, and it's killing me. I want to go love on him so badly, and I'm really hoping to jump in the car this weekend to head up that way. (Since I now have two cute baby nephews to spoil, we'll be calling him Sweet Baby TJ on the blog.) I haven't spoken to mom yet about posting pictures, so I can't share his adorable face with you guys yet.

I confess...

I did get to spend several hours last weekend with the other little man in my life, Sweet Baby A. He really is a  darling little thing...and he went right to sleep in my arms after eating. Sleep, powder fresh-smelling babies = Heaven.

I confess...

I was perturbed by the number of suggestions (from both family and casual acquaintances) that based on my instagram and FB photos, it appears to be time that I have a baby of my own. I love babies, but starting a family is a HUGE thing to be discussing so casually.

I confess...

Last weekend, we left the Super Bowl party shortly after half-time. Even watching for the commercials wasn't worth it. So I hadn't seen this Clydesdale commercial until last night, and it almost made me cry. That's a confession in itself; I'm almost crying over beer commercials. Granted the song "Landslide" alone is enough to get me teary.

I confess...

I've been a bit of tv junky this week. There are so many good shows on these days. (Last night's Scandal = OMG!) I'm going to have to get my couch-potato butt moving this weekend. Let's hope the weather cooperates so I can do something active.

People are always like that about babies, aren't they? They always think they know when it's best for you to have them. LOL. Crazy.

We got the "hint" about kids when Nick's folks started coming to get the dogs for a visit and calling them the granddogs. Subtle. Very subtle.
Thursday nights do have some good shows on. We loved the new Big Bang Theory last night.

Aw I just love babies! They are so precious and sweet :D
I didn't watch the Superbowl this year, and the only commercial I saw was the Taco Bell one which cracked me up. But I had a lady at work telling me about the Budweiser commercial and I started tearing up! It didn't help that I had just sold my horse haha.
I wish I could be more of a TV junkie, I need to catch up on my shows!

I got teary over that commercial, too! :(

I think people love holding babies so much, they're just happy to encourage OTHER people to have them. I've been told I'd 'make a great mom' and should have babies since I was 15 years old. Even though I know I'd be a bad mom and much prefer to just babysit other people's kids. It's the baby thing.

I keep getting all the "when are you having babies" thing from everyone...it really is such a personal thing that everyone feels they have an input on. And I didn't even watch the superbowl LOL, I haven't even seen the commercials yet. :) Loving this linkup!

Congrats on the new baby in the family, and you look so natural with a baby. ;) Haha, J/k - it's true, that's a giant deal and while maybe you can never wait until the time is perfect, but you can wait until you are ready.

I really need to catch up on Scandal, I'm still in the first season.

I'm still getting the "you should have one more" suggestions. My family is complete thank you very much. Holding sweet SLEEPING little babies is much fun tho!!

Congratulations on two new little babies to snuggle and love. You will be a parent when the time is right, ignore them.

I teared up the first time watching the clydesdales. Then Dad noticed and rewound it, and I teared up a second time...

No one has the right to suggest when someone else should have a baby. They won't be paying the bills and doing all the work!
