Let Them Eat Cake!

No matter how long it's been since our weddings, we all like to share the details that made our day special to us. So when I came across this fun linky party  hosted by The Magnolia Pair, I decided to jump on board and share my cake with you. (Thanks for the heads up, Ashley!)

We elected to have cupcakes at our wedding rather than a traditional cake. My good friend Erin made them for us as our wedding gift. We  chose vanilla, orange, lemon and key lime flavors. They were so yummy!
The Mister's aunt also had a good friend who does cakes, too. So she had brought us a cake as a surprise for our rehearsal dinner. Except that we didn't have a formal rehearsal dinner so we put that on the cake table on our special day to be enjoyed. This is the cakes we cut for photos and saved the top for our first anniversary.

Some of my favorite memories of the day were from the cake cutting and champagne toasts.

The way your cupcakes were presented was so great. I loved the "sand" and the little starfish and shells that were on the platter with them.

I loved this post- it brought back memories of my wedding day. You know what it made me realize, though, we didn't get the top of our cake on our wedding day! I seriously never realized that until I read this post... Hmmmm....

Anyway, love the blog and I'm proud to announce that I am your 200 follower! Now that's an honor! :)
