Because confession is good for the soul.
I confess...

I'm not ready to be a mommy. I told you earlier this week that I took some of the Boston people to the airport. One of them had his four-year-old with him, and when I came out to the car on the way home, I may have freaked for a second. Is that a car seat in my back seat?
I was very eager to return this to its owner; it looked a little too natural in my car.
It seems like every time I turn around any more, someone is asking when we're going to get pregnant. I guess since we've been together for 6 1/2 years, it seems like the next logical step, but it's starting to get overwhelming....I mean even the UPS delivery man at our office asked this week. Seriously, people, chillax!

I confess...

Coming home to find the Mister has set up the massage table is one of the best sights ever after a long day at work. I could be happy with a "surprise" massage on a weekly basis. I'll admit it; my husband spoils me.
I took a pretty picture with no junk in the corner and the sheets, but wouldn't you know that my phone didn't save it.
I confess...

I'm more than excited about our trip to Asheville this weekend. We were lucky enough to get VIP tickets to Moogfest this weekend. We're going to see Moby tonight...I haven't seen him play in more than 10 years.

I told the Mister that I didn't know most of the other bands, and he shared this video with my for Amon Tobin. Wow...a mini-vacation and good music makes me smile.

I also can't wait to sleep in tomorrow. It's been weeks since I could just sleep until I woke up.

1. I'm so happy that I have a successful business that keeps me busy....even if it's too busy to blog these days. There are so many people who don't have jobs or who are getting their hours cut; I'm blessed to have full-time work.

I'm also happy that it's the time of year to review plans with my Medicare clients. Some of my most charismatic and fun clients fall into this category, and it's fun to have them come by the office to sit with me.

2. I'm happy that the wedding we attended to weekends ago were so full of love and fun. Look at these happy couples. Don't they make your heart melt?
3. I'm happy to be training fairly consistently at our dojo. We had our fall clinic last weekend, and it was pretty awesome. Many parts were overwhelming for me since I'm such a newbie, but I learned a lot. The Mister took photos while I was in some of the seminars, but I haven't looked at them yet so I'll have to wait to share.

Also, it's great to spend time with some of our training family from around the country. I specifically got to spend some time with a few of the Boston people since I was the airport transportation.

4. I'm happy that this awesome lady had a fantastic birthday weekend. Happy Birthday, Janna! (Eventually, I'll catch you on the phone to tell you live.)
Taken during our 3-Day Weekend in Washington, D.C.
5. Flowers! My Mister got me flowers last week because we hit our 18 month mark since the wedding, which makes me so darn happy (both the anniversary and the man). And this morning a client brought me flowers as a little thank you for help. So sweet.

Since it's been a while since I've shared a Happy List, today seemed like a good day to do it. If you didn't catch the memo, Mamarazzi's Happy List is now hosted on Tuesdays rather than the weekend. So this is what's making me smile this week.

I'm so HAPPY that my training at the dojo is going so well. I've been training for just over a month now, and I'm really feeling a physical difference in my body. I feel stronger, and according to my belt, I'm a little thinner too. Two new white belts have started in the last week, and it's really cool to have someone else at my skill level to work with.

It's hard to believe our last trip to Asheville was in 2008.
I'm HAPPY that the Mister and I will be heading to Asheville later this month for a music festival. We were both bummed when our Labor Day trip was rained out, and a little patience now gives us a whole weekend in one of my favorite cities.

I'm so HAPPY and thankful for this man. Yesterday, we heard that a couple we're friends with is seriously discussing divorce. Sad news like that always makes me appreciate my marriage. It's not always easy, but I'm so glad that we have each other.

I'm ridiculously want to jump up and dance HAPPY that we'll get to celebrate at two weddings this weekend. This happy couple is getting married on Friday.
Aren't they so stinkin' cute?
And then on Saturday, we'll get to see these friends tie the knot (and watch football with them. My kind of people.)
Both photos above borrowed from the brides' FB pages.

Finally, I'm HAPPY to be back to blogging. I miss you guys!

Hello! I'm still alive!
I thought that I ought to give you an update on our lives before somebody sent a search and rescue crew. As I always say at the end of the month, work gets crazy...but considering how much travelling I did in September, I had a lot of catching up to do. Paying bills and buying groceries always has to take priority over blogging...but anyway, let's move on to coffee this morning.

If we were meeting for coffee this morning, I'd thank you for the prayers after our last cup of coffee. Unfortunately, the Mister's uncle passed away the day after my post. We miss him a lot, but he had been sick for a long time, so in some ways, it's a good thing that he's no longer suffering. However, that doesn't diminish the loss the family is feeling.

If we were really meeting for coffee this morning, then you'd see that it's raining outside. The gray, drizzly all day kind of rain that means winter is coming. Boo. When it rains like this where I live, people forget how to drive. It's amazing how many multi-car pile-ups I've seen in the last 24 hours. It makes me want to stay home in bed with a good book and a cup of coffee.

If we were really meeting for coffee this morning, I'd want to know if you have your house decorated for fall? I haven't started yet, but I'm thinking I should because it will be time to break the Christmas decorations out before we know it. At the very least, I guess I should put some pumpkins on the front porch and buy some Halloween candy.

If we were really meeting for coffee, then I'd share Holly's blog, Eight Six Eleven, because I'm having fun getting to know her better. Holly and I were paired up in a snail mail challenge. I love the idea of making new friends, and who doesn't love getting happy mail? So far, I think we're a match made in heaven. After all, teal was one of her wedding colors and she loves shoes. =D

Okay, I have to get back to the daily grind here in the office, but thanks for hanging in there with me on the spotty blogging the last few months. Catch you for coffee next week? Have a great Tuesday!
