Friday, March 26

I'm sure that many of you have seen this joke through the email circulation, but it still makes me laugh. Since we're so darn close to our wedding, I thought I'd share. (Thank God I will never have to worry about this happening.)

Jennifer's wedding day was fast approaching. Nothing could dampen her excitement -- not even her parent's nasty divorce. Her mother had found the PERFECT dress to wear and would be the Best-dressed mother-of-the-bride ever!

A week later, Jennifer was horrified to learn that her father's new young wife had bought the exact same dress as her mother! Jennifer asked her father's new young wife to exchange it, but she refused.

"Absolutely not. I look like a million bucks in this dress, and I'm wearing it," she replied.

Jennifer told her mother who graciously said, "Never mind, sweetheart. I'll get another dress. After all, it's your special day."

A few days later, they went shopping and did find another gorgeous dress. When they stopped for lunch, Jennifer asked her mother, "Aren't you going to return the other dress? You really don't have Another occasion where you could wear it."

Her mother just smiled and replied, "Of course I do, dear. I'm wearing it to the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding."

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Two weeks ago, my wonderful friend, Erin, hosted a lingerie shower at my house for me.

The day started off bright and sunny, which was good because the Mister and I ran/walked a 5K called Ryan's Rally, to raise money for a little boy in our community who is fighting leukemia. All I can say it that the course was much more hilly than I expected. Though, I definitely had to walk more than I would have liked, I beat my time from the previous race. Here's a photo of us after the race.

Since Erin was throwing the shower at my house, I had to leave for the early part of the afternoon to allow her time to decorate. I used that time to get a pedicure; I figured my tootsies deserved one after all the running to get ready for the race.

Let's just say we had a lot of fun. We had games. The Mister was kind enough to answer 15 questions that we to be a test of how well I knew him. The number correct was around 9 though I'm in official protest of a few answers.  I also had to determine who gave me which pair of panties. I wasn't very good at that, but I definitely know my step-mom and my future mother-in-laws tastes for me.

Erin laid out a wonderful variety of food, which was complete with fact cards to tell us about the individual food properties in enhancing one's libido. And there was champagne, which made me a very smily girl. And there were a variety of gifts

Both naughty:

And Nice:

See that little dog hanging out with me? That's my girl, Paige. She's normally very skittish around new people, so I was pretty proud of her for spending time with us girls.
